Roomate Selection

Your roommate will be a pivotal person at college. Sharing your time at Lyndon with your roomie will be a unique and fun experience. The Office of Student life works to match you with someone who shares your qualities and interest.

If you’re planning to live on campus, we ask that you fill out a Housing Application so that we’ll have the information we need to match you with a suitable roommate. On this application, you may request a specific roommate. Roommate requests will be honored when possible if both individuals have mutually requested each other.

If your application and contract are received by July 1, you will receive a letter with your housing assignment the last week of July. The information provided will include the residence hall, room number, and telephone number to which you have been assigned. The letter will also include the name, phone number, and e-mail address of your future roommate(s), if applicable.

No room changes are allowed for the first 14 days of each semester. This gives the Residential Life Office time to confirm who has moved in and who has not, and to ensure the security of the residents. However, if at any time in the year you believe a room change is necessary, please talk with your Residence Hall Director.
