The College’s mission to serve our students, our region, and our state is enhanced by the affiliated programs and institutes described in this portion of the website.
Some, such as the Vermont Institute for Applied Meteorology, were created to build on the educational opportunities offered by specific academic departments. The East Central Vermont Literacy Consortium and NEK School Development Center act as critical resources for area educators; Lyndon’s has historically been a leader in teacher training at all levels.
Lyndon’s Upward Bound program helps first-generation, low- or moderate-income high school students receive the support, encouragement, and preparation required to find the best fit for their educational needs after grade 12. AmeriCorps strives to improve the quality of life for residents of the Northeast Kingdom through literacy programs, positive youth development, and out of school programming.
