Housing Application and Contract

Before you start this application, you need to activate your VSC account.

Living on campus provides new students with a sense of community. It provides ready access to student life activities, as well as to academic facilities and support.

The general guidelines for housing at Lyndon are as follows:

  • Unmarried students under the age of 24 who are accepted to Lyndon as new students are required to live on campus for two consecutive academic years.
  • Those accepted as sophomores are required to live on campus for one academic year.
  • Students whose permanent legal domiciles are within a reasonable daily commuting distance are exempted from living on campus.
  • In extraordinary circumstances, application by letter may be made to the Dean of Student Affairs or designee to waive this residency requirement.
  • Housing deposits received by May 1 will be guaranteed on-campus housing. Deposits received after May 1 are placed on a first-come, first-served basis.

How To Secure On Campus Housing

Students who wish to live on campus should take the following steps:

  • Pay the housing deposit of $100. This deposit may be paid at the same time as — and using the same form as — the tuition deposit. This deposit form is included in your acceptance packet.

Once you have paid the housing deposit, you may complete the Housing Application and Contract Form.

Off Campus Housing

The general guidelines for housing at Lyndon are as follows:

  • Unmarried students under the age of 24 who are accepted to Lyndon as new students are required to live campus for two consecutive academic years.

Students who do not meet the above criteria and who wish to live off campus will find many rental opportunities in the Lyndonville area. Below is a listing of individuals in the area who manage house and apartment rentals, as well as storage facilities.
