Scholarships Based on Achievement
They say hard work is its own reward. We can do better than that!
Students who have demonstrated academic achievement, in high school and/or on their SATs, automatically qualify for a Lyndon Scholars Award.
Lyndon Scholars Award
If you know your SAT scores and grade point average (GPA), you can determine how much you’ll receive right now.
No forms to fill out. No complicated formulas. No waiting to know the amount of your award.
You can combine this scholarship with any other aid or discount you receive. Your tuition savings can really stack up at Lyndon.
You remain qualified for this scholarship as long as you are continuously enrolled at LSC and maintain a GPA of 2.5.
The Lyndon Scholars Award is for Vermont and out-of-state students. Vermonters receive this merit-based scholarship on top of Lyndon’s already low tuition. And if you are an out-of-state student, you can stack the Lyndon Scholars Award with one of three discounts for out-of-state students — a possible savings of up to $11,908 for qualified students.

These scholarships and grants are renewable for each year that you attend Lyndon State College for, up to, five years of attendance.
Merit based scholarships will be granted at the time the student is accepted and will be based upon transcripts and SAT scores. If a student has taken the ACT his/her admissions counselor will determine the corresponding SAT score by consulting the SAT/ACT Concordance Table. Students do not need to apply for merit based scholarships and grants.
Lyndon Promise Scholarship
This mixed need- and merit-based scholarship is awarded to students with at least a 2.5 GPA; it is renewable over four years if those eligibility criteria are met. The scholarship is open to first-year or transfer students regardless of home state. Requests for the Lyndon Promise Scholarship will be accepted as long as funds remain available each year.
