The New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE) Regional Student Program offers special rates to students from other New England states who are degree candidates in academic areas not offered by educational institutions in their home states. Residents of New Hampshire* and most New York state counties* qualify for a tuition discount under our Frontier Scholarship, regardless of program. This award results in a $5,000 savings on regular out-of-state tuition.
* The Frontier Scholarship only applies to new students accepted for Fall 2013 or later. Students must have at least an 80 percent grade average in high school to qualify, and maintain an 80 percent grade average while enrolled at LSC to remain eligible. Students from New York must be residents of Albany, Bronx, Broome, Chenango, Clinton, Columbia, Cortland, Delaware, Dutchess, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Kings (Brooklyn), Lewis, Madison, Montgomery, Nassau, New York (Manhattan), Oneida, Onondaga, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Queens, Rensselaer, Richmond, Rockland, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, St. Lawrence, Suffolk, Sullivan, Ulster, Warren, Washington, or Westchester county to qualify.
For residents of northern New Hampshire: Students are billed at full rates, but receive waivers that have the effect of reducing tuition to fifty percent above Vermont resident tuition. Residents of the towns listed below are eligible for this tuition waiver.
