Leadership Opportunities

Peer Leaders

Peer Leaders are successful and dedicated upper-class students who have proven themselves as leaders in and outside of the classroom at Lyndon. They provide outstanding student models for new students, as well as serving as mentors and as a bridge between new students and instructors. Without question, they are truly one of Lyndon’s most valuable resources.

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors are student leaders that are a vital part of interacting with prospective students and their families the moment they step foot on campus. They provide our visitors with a full campus tour, which informs our visitors of our degree programs, campus life, housing, resources and most importantly, the Lyndon experience. Additionally, they are the backbone of our admissions events and make a truly memorable and impressionable campus visit for all our visitors.

Resident Assistants

The Resident Assistant (RA) is a unique, live-in student leadership position in the Department of Student Life and is an important member of the Residence Life team. The primary responsibility of the RA is to help residents have a positive residence hall experience at Lyndon State College. Generally, the RA is an undergraduate student who works with a group of approximately 35 residents and has numerous leadership roles including community builder, teacher, programmer, resource informant, and role model.
