Lyndon’s Business Department offers a broad variety of classes and academic concentrations for students interested in careers in business. Case studies, class discussions, computer simulations, research, and real projects for real clients are the tools used to give you a real-world education. The business program prepares students to identify key issues facing an organization, formulate possible solutions, research and evaluate alternatives, and lead effectively.

Your teachers are professionals in their fields who have substantial experience and success in private industry. Students can look forward to small classes with loads of relevant real-world, activity-based learning. With only ten to twenty-five students per class, students get an education closely tailored to their interests and strengths, and they are able to work closely with their professors.

The Sport Management program prepares students for careers in the ever-expanding sports industry. Students receive a comprehensive education in the business and administration of athletics, sport, and recreation. Courses provide a solid foundation in ethical leadership, governance, law, finance, marketing, facility design, resource management, and event planning. And, with 32 elective credits, there is plenty of room to tailor your education to exactly the field you want to work in.

Need to balance work and college? Our students are on the go. Classes are offered days, evenings, online, between terms, and during the summer in order to meet the demands of our students’ schedules. Under our Fast Track program students can get their bachelor’s degree in three years.

The Business Department at Lyndon supports iWOW, the Incubator Without Walls program. iWOW provides a wide array of programs and services designed to prepare students and businesses for success in the workplace and the regional economy. We proactively engage Lyndon faculty and students with small businesses to assess their needs, define optimal business performance steps, and propose solutions with results in mind. These projects give students real-world business experiences that support their academic studies.

Graduates of Lyndon’s business degree programs have successful careers in management, marketing, finance, manufacturing, accounting, sales, hospitality, small business, and more. They also enjoy a 90 percent job placement rate in their field.
