Nursing is a discipline and a profession, a science, and an art grounded in caring.
As a student in this program, you will graduate with an A.A. in General Studies and gain a basic foundation in nursing that will prepare you to make a seamless transition to the Vermont Technical College nursing program. Take your first steps toward becoming a nurse with the Pre-Nursing partnership between Lyndon, Vermont Tech, and the Community College of Vermont.
The program prepares the pre-nursing student for entry into Vermont Technical College’s Nursing Program. A student enrolled in the Lyndon Pre-Nursing program will take English, Math, Biology, and Psychology courses at Lyndon and a nutrition course at Community College of Vermont.
The partnership between these three colleges within the Vermont State Colleges system allows seamless transfer of academic information, and it enables students to be concurrently enrolled at Lyndon and Community College of Vermont. All pre-nursing students at Lyndon are academically advised by a Vermont Technical College administrator who provides personalized advising on course requirements and the Vermont Technical College application for admission process.
