Robert Illgen ( Boston magician and Juggler ) started performing at the age of 16. Training under “The Suspenders” from Cape Cod, ( a local juggling team ) Robert began learning juggling and magic skills. It was then he knew that this was the beginning of his career. After high school Robert worked for Cape Cod Biochemical for 5 years. While working a full-time job he took on performing on the weekends.
In 1991 Robert performed at the Mashpee Commons street performer festival. A festival were artists strut their stuff in front of large crowds on the street to get their respect. From 1997 he made his way to Harvard Square, Cambridge MA. Street performing 7 days a week day or night he began to hone his interactive skills and understanding how to work all types of crowds.
2001- He was invited to perform at Huis Ten Bosch, one of Japans largest theme parks for 18 weeks. After a successful run he was asked to go back in 2007 and 2008, each time learning more Japanese. His career began to pick up doing shows in Canada, Singapore and about 40+ states in the US.
Present- You can catch Robert performing at the world famous Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston, MA thru the spring and summertimes. Upon doing his show in Boston, he performs regularly at many fairs, schools, camps, festivals, colleges, corporate events and private parties across the USA
