Established in 1992, the East Central Vermont Literacy Consortium provides Reading Recovery services, along with systemic support of literacy best practices, to our 41 Member schools.
ECVLC continues to demonstrate literacy success with the hardest-to-teach children, assisting the lowest-achieving first grade readers to attain or exceed grade level with a 20 week or less intervention.
We offer professional development for teachers, administrators, paraeducators and parents, including:
• Reading Recovery Teacher training & Continuing Contact
• Administrator Training
• Primary Observation Assessment Consultation
• America Reads
As well , we provide consultation in the instructional use of data collection and analysis and the longitudinal monitoring of individual students and district progress.
