Graphic Design, B.F.A.
Get ahead of the curve with our new Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Graphic Design: in-depth, computer-based instruction combining basic and advanced graphic design for print, web, and mobile applications—plus web programming—in one comprehensive degree. Few colleges nationwide offer this level of preparation. And you’ll benefit from all the advantages of a broad, liberal arts education. Add to your expertise with real-world coursework in photography, illustration, web programming or video production.
Formal Acceptance into the Major
During the second year of study, students majoring in the B.F.A. Graphic Design are required to complete DES 2950 Design Review. When a student completes Design Review with a passing grade, the student is granted formal acceptance into the B.F.A. major.
Students graduating with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design will demonstrate:
- an ability to work collaboratively and/or independently in solving advanced problems in graphic design
- an ability to create effective, professional-level graphic design projects
- a proficiency in the use of appropriate creative tools for specific graphic design projects
The Graphic Design degree is NEBHE eligible (tuition discount) in Maine, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. But we go better than that with our stackable awards.
