Visual Arts, A.S.
Lyndon’s Visual Arts degree allows for students to learn a wide range of artistic mediums while exploring his/her own artistic vision. Many art students pursue this degree as a step towards deciding on a four-year program. Students build a foundation in drawing and 2-D design and then pursue their interests among courses in painting, book arts, calligraphy or 3D arts such as sculpture and puppet-making.
Students graduating with an A.S. in Visual Arts will demonstrate:
- an ability to express original ideas in a visual fashion
- an ability to use a variety of techniques specific to the art medium
- an ability to exhibit artwork following standard conventions
- an awareness of historical and/or contemporary artists or art forms
