Big Love, by American playwright Charles L. Mee, is based on Aeschylus’s The Suppliants. In the play, brides flee to a manor in Italy to avoid marrying their cousins. This version brings the original Greek story into modern times. While they wait for their wedding day, the performance raises issues of feminism, patriarchy, sexuality, and acceptance.
